now i'm trying to keep this as normal as possible. there are so many specialist blogs out there (by that i mean ones about technology, fashion etc.) that browsing through blogger, i didn't really find many blogs that spoke about a variety of stuff that's applicable to everyone. so, that's what i plan to do.
school
love it or hate it, like they say, it's some of the best years of your life. for me, it's also the years of my life that have shaped who i am.
now, i'm not saying i love school (who honestly does?) but i do enjoy it. mainly because of the company there. i hang around with 6 other girls who are absolutely-epically-immense.
...Olive, the guitar player and my best friend
...Chelly, the actress and pervert
...Bethyy, the artist and one we all tease ferociously
...Hollygon, the fashionista and tea cup lover
...Turtle, the manga fan and twisted one
...GrrrrrrrrRosie, the x-box freak and "quoter"
oh, and me :) the tall one.
now from that, you hopefully would have all guessed that we don't have a lot in common interest wise. i think that's what made us friends in the first place - our different opinions get the others intrigued and we can spend HOURS discussing things. through these wonderful girls, i've discovered so much about new things and also myself. i have learnt my limits (rape) and what i'm comfortable with (groping and talking about war)
anyway, they make school interesting for me. the only subject we have all picked is history, individually we've chosen media, science, art, dance, drama and childcare (my bad. i hate it). they encourage me to get up in the morning and i'm leaving school with (hopefully) 14 and half GCSE's which is more than enough to get me into 6th form.
i think the only bad thing about our different interests is 6th form. we aren't all going to the same places because we all want different things out of further education. i'm going to the same 6th form as Bethyy, Grrrrrrosie, Hollygon, Olive and i think Turtle are going to a school and Chelly is off on her own. we ARE all going to stay in touch (i'm making sure of that) because these people are amazing. sorry if it sounds like im boasting by the way :)
anyway, i want you to think about your friends or family. are you grateful for them? how have they shaped you or given you?
listen here - you're lucky to know all the wonderful people you know, whether that be your parents, step family, friends, cousins, dogs whatever. they're all important. so once in a while, tell them that. they will appreciate it, i'm sure of it.
